Trailer of Manish Malhotra’s ‘Gustakh Ishq’ Goes Live — A Timeless Tale of Love & Poetry

The trailer of the upcoming film “Gustakh Ishq”, produced by designer-turned-producer Manish Malhotra under his Stage5 Productions banner, has officially been released. This marks his first cinematic venture into storytelling, bringing audiences into an era of sincere love, heartfelt poetry and longing.

Directed by Vibhu Puri, the film features powerhouse performances from Naseeruddin Shah, Vijay Verma, Fatima Sana Sheikh and Sharib Hashmi.

A Glimpse Into the Story - The trailer transports viewers to the bygone lanes of old Delhi and the age-worn havelis of Punjab, capturing a love story defined not by grand gestures but by quiet devotion, yearning and poetic expression.

In it, Naseeruddin Shah portrays a master poet-mentor, who not only teaches poetry but also guides Vijay Verma’s character. As Verma learns the art of verse, he finds himself falling in love with Fatima’s character — a romance rooted more in feeling than words.

Creative Team & Launch Atmosphere - The film’s music is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, while acclaimed lyricist Gulzar pens its poetic songs. Vocal contributions come from top artists like Arijit Singh, Shilpa Rao, Papon, Javed Ali, Jazim Sharma and Himani Kapur.

The trailer-launch event saw Manish Malhotra alongside his brother Dinesh Malhotra, director Vibhu Puri and members of the cast and crew. In a stylised photoshoot reminiscent of the film’s mood, Vijay and Fatima posed with classic backdrops and steaming cups of tea — evoking an era gone by.

What Makes It Stand Out - This film marks a new chapter for Manish Malhotra, shifting from high-fashion narratives into deep emotional storytelling — an exploration of love that transcends flashiness, and instead embraces simplicity and poetry.

With its nostalgic visuals, intense poetic undertones and a fresh pairing of talent, “Gustakh Ishq” promises to offer something different from the loud, spectacle-driven films currently dominating the box-office.
